A cyclone carried Dorothy from Kansas to a distant land, surrounded by a huge desert to the north, a huge mountain to the south, a huge chasm to the east, a huge sea to the west. That land is called Oz. In Oz, Dorothy meets Scarecrow without a brain, Tin Woodman without a heart, and Lion without courage. The Yellow Brick Road leads Dorothy and her friends to the centre of Oz. In the heart of Oz there is the Emerald City, where the Wizard lives. No one has ever seen the Wizard, no one knows what he looks like, but everyone knows that he is the only person who can help Dorothy get back home.  To help the girl and her friends, the Wizard wants a favour - he wants them to kill the Wicked Witch. Dorothy does not want to hurt anyone, but her desire to get back home keeps her going. It takes the entire journey for her and her friends to realise that they can only help themselves because all the power is within themselves.
